Adam Milne has become the latest New Zealander to sign a county deal after joining Essex Eagles for the NatWest T20 Blast.
The fast bowler, who has made 43 limited-overs appearances for the Black Caps, will arrive at the Essex County Ground at the end of June and be available for seven South Group fixtures.
Essex head coach Chris Silverwood said: “Adam is a young bowler with plenty of international experience already.
“He is exactly what we were looking for from an overseas player, with his real pace offering something different to our attack.
“We believe Adam can help us push on at the end of the group stage as we look to secure our place in the latter stages of the competition.”
Milne has taken 18 wickets at an average of 20.83 in 14 Twenty20 internationals while snaring 58 scalps in 51 domestic sprint-format matches.
The 23-year-old said: “I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to join Essex and help contribute to a successful NatWest T20 Blast.
“Essex is a club with such a fantastic history and I look forward to wearing the Eagles logo with pride and making an impact to help bring the T20 Blast silverware to Chelmsford.”
