In a must-win game for Harmanpreet Kaur and her girls, they have been supported with a huge boost as former India captain Virat Kohli has come to support the side.

This is a must-win game for the Women in Blue side to qualify for the semi-finals. The equation for Harmanpreet Kaur’s side is simple: win and qualify for the next round. Kaur won the toss and elected to bat first in a high-pressure match. As the innings are closing to an end.

Virat Kohli in stands to support India Women’s side

Virat Kohli, along with his wife Anushka Sharma, has been spotted at the Lord’s Stadium. Apart from the power couple, former India head coach and commentator Ravi Shastri is also present, sitting right beside the couple and enjoying the game. Virat has been staying in the UK for a long time now, along with his family.

Kohli was spotted in Bengaluru a few days back doing his rehab for the upcoming ODI series against England in England. He was in the Centre of Excellence (CoE) recovering from his hamstring injury, which he sustained during the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 final, while playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) against the Gujarat Titans (GT).

Virat Kohli missed the Afghanistan series citing the injury and will be back in action after nearly six months of missing international cricket. Virat has been in great form in the last couple series and was the leading run getter for the Men in Blue side.

Virat had his best year under Ravi Shastri as a coach, as the duo won the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT)
