Toss Delhi Capitals chose to bat against Royal Challengers Bangalore

Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer opted for first strike against Royal Challengers Bangalore in a key home game as the race for the playoffs gets exciting.

Iyer described the pitch as dry, and said that he assumed it would play better in the first half.

The home side made just one change, dropping South African pace-bowling allrounder Chris Morris and replacing him with Nepal legspinner Sandeep Lamichhane.

Royal Challengers made three changes. Moeen Ali has left for England, and Heinrich Klaasen has come in for the World Cup-bound offspinning allrounder. Tim Southee and Akshdeep Nath also went out, with Shivam Dube and Gurkeerat Singh Mann taking their places.

Despite being at the bottom place on the points table, Royal Challengers are on a hot streak, having won their last three games, while Capitals are a win away from confirming a place in the playoffs.
