West Indies bat, Devendra Bishoo replaces injured Ashley Nurse

Toss West Indies chose to bat v India

Jason Holder, the West Indies captain, has chosen to bat after winning his first toss of the series. Virat Kohli, India’s captain, wasn’t too displeased, since he would have preferred not to bowl under lights – he predicted dew would be a “massive factor” in the evening.

West Indies made two changes, one forced by a left pectoral injury to Ashley Nurse – Holder confirmed it has ruled the offspinner out of the T20I series too. Devendra Bishoo came in for Nurse. The other change saw West Indies beef up their fast bowling at the expense of a batsman – India amassed 377 in the fourth ODI – with Oshane Thomas replacing Chandrapaul Hemraj.

India were unchanged.
