Darren Sammy, the Rajshahi Kings captain, won the toss and elected to field first against Sylhet Sixers in the sixth match of the 2017-18 Bangladesh Premier League in Sylhet.

Sylhet made two changes to their XI. Shuvagata Hom made way for Kamrul Islam Rabbi, and Danushka Gunathilaka came in place of Krishmar Santokie. Rajshahi made one change, Nihaduzzaman being replaced by Hossain Ali.

Sylhet, the newest entrants into the league, have won both their matches so far. They thumped defending champions Dhaka Dynamites by nine wickets in the tournament opener, before coming out on top in a thriller against Comilla Victorians. Rajshahi are in search of their maiden win after losing to Rangpur Riders by six wickets in their first match.
