Bangladesh finally picked up more than one wicket in a session in the Potchefstroom Test, but centuries from Hashim Amla and Dean Elgar helped take the score to 496 for 3 at tea.

After Amla gave a simple catch to backward point off Shafiul Islam for 137 and Elgar holed out for 199, South Africa captain Faf du Plessis and Temba Bavuma added an unbroken 51-run stand to keep the visitors down.
