There were no delays at the start, despite showers in St. Kitts, as West Indies elected to bat in the second match of the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan.

West Indies stuck to the team that dominated Afghanistan in the first T20I. On the other hand, the visitors made two changes in their bid to keep the series alive – opener Noor Ali Zadran came in for Usman Ghani, and fast bowler Dawlat Zadran replaced Shapoor Zadran.
