On the 140th birth anniversary of Test cricket, Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim strode into the middle wearing a special-edition blazer to mark the country’s 100th Test. Sri Lanka captain Rangana Herath won the toss though, and decided to bat.

The home side made one change, with pacer Lahiru Kumara being replaced by batsman Dhananjaya de Silva.

Bangladesh handed Mosaddek Hossain a Test debut – Bangladesh’s 86th Test player – while also bringing in Imrul Kayes, Sabbir Rahman and Taijul Islam. They have replaced Mominul Haque, Mahmudullah, Liton Das and Taskin Ahmed.
