Bangalore likely to host IPL 2016 final

Rajiv Shukla, the IPL chairman, has recommended to the IPL governing council that the final of the tournament be held in Bangalore. Shukla’s suggestions were put forth after he met with the Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants franchises in Delhi, following the Bombay High Court’s ruling to move all IPL matches out of Maharashtra after April 30.

If these recommendations are ratified by the governing council, then Bangalore will also host the first Qualifier match, while Kolkata will stage the second Qualifier as well as the Eliminator.
