Preeti Bose, Deepti Sharma in India Women ODI squad

Uncapped offspinner Preeti Bose and allrounder Deepti Sharma have been called up to the India Women’s ODI squad for the three-match series against Sri Lanka, beginning on February 15.

Sharma, who was dropped for the ODIs series in Australia, has played four matches with a batting average of 33.50. Sneh Rana and Ekta Bisht were left out.

There was only one change to the T20 squad that won their first bilateral series against Australia in any format. Sharma, who made her debut in the third T20 against Australia in Sydney and returned figures of 1 for 19, was excluded from the squad. Rana was included in her place.

All three ODIs will count as part of the ICC Women’s Championship and will be played in Ranchi. The three-game T20 series begins on February 22.
