Shubman Gill’s impressive performances in the recent ODI series against Afghanistan have helped him climb three places in the updated ICC ODI Batting Rankings. The stylish right-hander is now ranked No. 2 in the world and is just 24 rating points behind the New Zealand star Daryl Mitchell, who currently sits at the top of the rankings with 815 ranking points.

However, Gill’s jump pushed Virat Kohli to the third position with 768 rating points, followed by Rohit Sharma (754 rating points) at the fourth space, with Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran (713 rating points) completing the top 5 in the updated rankings.
