India suffered a rare defeat against Ireland in their first match in the ongoing tour of the United Kingdom. India, the champions of the 2026 T20 World Cup, went down against the home team, Ireland, in the first match of the tour on June 26.
Against Ireland’s 182, India managed to score only 148 runs against all ten wickets. Ireland won the match by 34 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the 2-match T20I series.
