New Zealand player Jayden Lennox suffered an injury while trying to stop a powerful shot from Virat Kohli during the second ODI match between India and New Zealand. The match is underway at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Wednesday, January 14, with India asked to bat after losing the toss.

New Zealand captain Michael Bracewell won the toss and chose to field first. Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma scored only 10 runs in the first five overs. The opening pair added a 70-run partnership from 74 balls before Rohit was dismissed for 24 off 38 balls. Kohli came to the crease after Rohit’s dismissal.

Jayden Lennox suffered an injury while fielding a shot from Virat Kohli during the second ODI. The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 18th over.

Kohli played a firm drive to the left, and Lennox dived to stop the ball. While sliding on the side pitch, he injured his left palm and was seen bleeding, which forced him to leave the field for medical attention. Lennox impressed on his international debut, conceding just 18 runs in five overs.
