The next day after BCCI’s squad announcement for their T20I series against England, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) declared their squad for the Twenty20 International series on Monday, June 22.
Harry Brook remains as the captain of the T20Is for the England cricket team with Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, and Phil Salt as the experienced candidates in the team.
While uncapped all-rounder James Coles has been called up for the high-profile series, Brydon Carse and Jamie Overton missed out due to injury reasons.
ECB ommits top talents for England vs India T20I series
“The England Men’s selection panel has named a 17-player squad for the Vitality IT20 series against India. Uncapped all-rounder James Coles has been called up to an England Men’s squad for the first time,” the ECB informs in their official announcement.
“Jordan Cox, Sonny Baker, and Saqib Mahmood return, having not been a part of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad. Brydon Carse and Jamie Overton are unavailable due to injury,” it added.
