
Australian cricket has received a huge relief after Damien Martyn showed remarkable signs of recovery following a terrifying health scare. The former Australian batter has woken up from an induced coma, with his family describing his improvement as “miraculous.”
Martyn was admitted to Gold Coast University Hospital after being diagnosed with meningitis. Doctors placed the 54-year-old World Cup winner in an induced coma as part of his treatment, which left the Australian cricket fraternity and his family and loved ones concerned.

However, in the latest update, Martyn’s partner, Amanda, and his family confirmed that he has now regained consciousness and is responding well. A Fox Cricket report reads, “Damien Martyn has woken up from an induced coma and has been progressing well with his medical treatment.”
