After being asked to bat first, Oman had a terrible day with the bat in Colombo. Yet, they tried to push their total late in the innings when Brad Evans delivered a clever slower ball to Nadeem Khan. The left-hander stepped out of his crease, aiming for a big hit toward the leg side.

Nadeem did not time the shot well, and the ball went high into the air, drifting toward deep mid-wicket where no fielder was stationed at that moment. But Brian Bennett took the moment to produce absolute magic in the T20 World Cup 2026 clash.

Bennett sprinted to his right, covered a lot of ground from deep mid-wicket, and then dove full stretch. While still in the air, he caught the ball with both hands and landed cleanly, making sure the ball stayed safely in his grasp. Bennett’s mind-blowing efforts left everyone in disbelief.

The dismissal ended Oman’s innings in dramatic fashion, with Nadeem making his way back to the dressing room after scoring 20 runs from 18 balls with the help of one four and one six. The Oman side was bowled out for just 103 runs by Zimbabwe on Tuesday in Colombo.
