Sri Lanka Women will be looking to bounce back following their disappointment against the West Indies when they take on Ireland Women in Match 20 of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup on Tuesday, June 23. Both sides currently find themselves near the foot of the standings.

Sri Lanka have secured just one win from their first three matches of the tournament and are second-bottom in the points table. Their win against New Zealand is sandwiched between defeats to hosts England and the West Indies.

Ireland, on the other hand, have suffered three defeats from as many matches and have already been eliminated from the group stage. They would want to end the tournament on a high note following narrow defeats to England and New Zealand in their last two fixtures.

County Ground, Bristol: Pitch Report

A batting-friendly pitch with shorter boundaries, the County Ground in Bristol has tonnes of runs on offer for batters who are well settled at the crease. Sri Lanka, however, did not have the best of times at this venue when they were bundled out for just 98 in the first innings against the West Indies. Slower bowlers and spinners could also play a vital role in the game under the right conditions.
