India captain Rohit Sharma achieved another major milestone in his career by completing 14,000 List A runs during the second ODI of the three-match series against Afghanistan. The right-handed batter further strengthened his reputation as one of the most successful opening batters in the history of limited-overs cricket.

The Shubman Gill-led India is taking on Afghanistan in the second ODI at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday, June 17. India made three changes to their playing XI for the match. Fast bowler Prince Yadav was handed his debut, while Kuldeep Yadav and Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to the side.

Rohit Sharma Completes 14,000 List A Runs With Trademark Six

Rohit Sharma reached the 14,000-run mark in List A cricket in style during the second ODI against Afghanistan in Lucknow. The India captain brought up the milestone with a six off the third ball of the 4th over, becoming only the fifth Indian batter to achieve the feat.

Mohammad Saleem Safi bowled a short delivery outside off stump at 141.3 kph. Rohit quickly picked the length and played one of his trademark pull shots, sending the ball over mid-wicket for a six. The six also brought up a major personal milestone.

Rohi is among an elite group of Indian batters in List A cricket. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly, and Rahul Dravid completed 14000 runs in List A cricket.
