Afghanistan chose to bat in their 100th ODI, against Ireland in Stormont, and Mohammad Nabi made history as the first player to play in all of his country’s first 100 ODIs.

Mohammad Shahzad returned as wicketkeeper for Afghanistan, taking Shafiqullah Shafiq’s spot, while Najibullah Zadran was brought in for Ihsanullah Janat. Ireland decided not to change the side that lost the first ODI on Monday.

Afghanistan lead the three-ODI series 1-0 after they sent Ireland packing for 198 in the first match. On a slow surface, Afghanistan spinners ran through the hosts’ line-up, with Mujeeb ur Rahman leading the way with figures of 10-0-32-1.

The visitors are unbeaten on their tour so far, having won the three-T20I series 2-0 in Bready.
