Toss Zimbabwe chose to bat v Pakistan
Hamilton Masakadza, the Zimbabwe captain, won the toss for the second straight game and opted to set a target under overcast skies, in the second ODI against Pakistan in Bulawayo. Despite that chastening defeat in the first ODI, Zimbabwe made no changes to their side with Masakadza saying they simply needed to perform to their potential.
Pakistan, perhaps less surprisingly, were also unchanged. They won their first ODI of the year in the opening game, and decided to stick with the same team, which means last game’s centurion Imam-ul-Haq will partner Fakhar Zaman again at the top. Given the overcast conditions, Pakistan stuck with the four-pronged pace attack comprising Mohammad Amir, Usman Khan, Hasan Ali, and Faheem Ashraf.
