Toss Hong Kong chose to field vs Pakistan

Hong Kong captain Nizakat Khan won the toss and put Pakistan in to bat in what is a knockout match in Sharjah. Nizakat said the low and slow surface in Sharjah suits them because they play on similar pitches back home and rely on their spinners.
In their match against India in Dubai, Hong Kong adopted the same strategy and put India under pressure until a blinder from Suryakumar Yadav carried India to a formidable total. Hong Kong remain the only side to have lost a match chasing in the group stage of the tournament.

The winner of this match will progress to the next round where four teams will play a round-robin league to decide the two finalists. India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are already through to the second round.
