Australia bring in Jhye Richardson, ask unchanged Sri Lanka to bat

Toss Australia won the toss and chose to field against Sri Lanka

Australia have won the toss and chosen to bowl first again, with the second T20I between these teams to be played on the same pitch as that on which Australia romped to a 10-wicket victory on Tuesday.
Although Mitchell Starc was excellent during that victory, he had split his index finger open during the match, and as such has been forced to sit this one out. Jhye Richardson comes into the XI in his place, which means that Australia’s frontline seam options are the two Richardsons (Jhye and Kane), and Josh Hazlewood. Ashton Agar is their main spinner. Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell are also there to provide supplementary overs.

Sri Lanka crashed and burned on Tuesday, but have not made any changes to their XI, sticking with the same batting order that had gone from 100 for 1 to 128 all out.

There is always a chance of rain interrupting play at this time of year, as it did on Tuesday. But at toss time, the skies appeared relatively clear.
