The Rajasthan Royals remained unchanged from the team that beat the Kolkata Knight Riders in the previous game
Mumbai Indians chose to bowl vs Rajasthan Royals
Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai Indians captain, won the toss and opted to field first in his side’s first game in Delhi. That meant Mumbai will be chasing later for the first time in IPL 2021.
Rohit said the Delhi pitch looked much better than the surfaces in Chennai. Mumbai made one change to their XI, strengthening their bowling by replacing Ishan Kishan with Nathan Coulter-Nile.
The Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson said he too wanted to bowl first. The Royals didn’t make any change to their XI that beat the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Both teams have two wins each from their respective five games but because of a superior net run rate, Mumbai are fourth on the points table, while the Royals are seventh.
