Toss Velocity chose to bowl v Supernovas

Mithali Raj won another toss and opted to bowl again in the final league match of the Women’s T20 Challenge against Supernovas, in Jaipur. Velocity made one change to the side from the match against Trailblazers, with Jahanara Alam coming in for Sushree Pradhan. That means that Velocity come into the match with four overseas players, as opposed to the three that played against Trailblazers. Supernovas, led by Harmanpreet Kaur were unchanged from their last match.

Despite a spectacular collapse that saw Velocity lose five wickets without adding a run to the score when they needed just two to win in their last match, their net run-rate is excellent. Only a crushing defeat will dash their hopes of making the final, while Supernovas need a win on the board to be in contention, after a narrow defeat in the tournament opener against Trailblazers.

Supernovas XI: Harmanpreet Kaur (capt), Taniya Bhatia (wk), Chamari Atapattu, Sophie Devine, Poonam Yadav, Jemimah Rodrigues, Natalie Sciver, Anuja Patil, Radha Yadav, Lea Tahuhu, Priya Punia

Velocity XI: Mithali Raj (capt), Sushma Verma (wk), Veda Krishnamurthy, Danielle Wyatt, Komal Zanzad, Amelia Kerr, Ekta Bisht, Shikha Pandey, Hayley Matthews, Shafali Verma, Jahanara Alam
