Warner accepts CA sanctions for ball-tampering

David Warner at his first press conference a week after the ball-tampering scandal in Cape Town 

David Warner, the former Australia vice-captain, will not challenge the 12-month ban imposed on him by Cricket Australia for his role in the ball-tampering incident in the Cape Town Test earlier this month.

“I have today let Cricket Australia know that I fully accept the sanctions imposed on me,” he said on Twitter. “I am truly sorry for my actions and will now do everything I can to be a better person, teammate and role model.”
