TossWest Indies opt to bat v Pakistan
Live scorecard and ball-by-ball details
Shaheen Afridi, the 17-year old left-arm fast bowler, was handed an international debut two months after he impressed for Pakistan at the Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand. For the record, West Indies, down 2-0 in the series, elected to bat in the third and final T20I of the short series in Karachi.
Pakistan rested Mohammad Amir and Hasan Ali. This meant Afridi and Usman Khan Shinwari, both of whom impressed in the Pakistan Super League for Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings respectively, got a look-in. Meanwhile, West Indies strengthened their batting by handing a debut to Andre McCarthy in place of Kesrick Williams, the allrounder.
Pakistan won the first T20I by a record 143 runs, and the second by 82 runs as they piled on their highest ever T20I score.
