Wicketkeeper batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama and middle-order batsman Roshen Silva have made it to the 15-man squad Sri Lanka will send to the UAE to take on Pakistan in a two-Test series later this month. Injured allrounder Angelo Mathews is not part of the squad – Sri Lanka Cricket had confirmed earlier today that he will miss the first Test due a calf strain which he picked up at training this week.
Samarawickrama had opened for Sri Lanka at the Under-19 World Cup in 2014.
Sri Lanka and Pakistan will play the first Test in Abu Dhabi from September 28, before moving to Dubai for a pink-ball game.
