The PCB has charged Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif for a number of alleged breaches of its anti-corruption code. Under the code, the pair potentially face lifetime bans from cricket. Sharjeel was found in violation of four major articles in the anti-corruption code while Khalid Latif is also facing a severe charges.
The pair were handed their notices on Saturday, a week after they were sent back from the Pakistan Super League in Dubai where they were playing for the defending champions Islamabad United.
The PCB confirmed in a statement that Sharjeel and Latif had been charged for breaching various articles under Clause 2, including specific ones to attempt to corrupt a game, as well as more general misdemeanours of failing to disclose suspect approaches.
