Steven Smith won the toss and Australia will bat first in the fifth and final ODI against Pakistan at Adelaide Oval.

Australia made one change to the side that secured the series in Sydney, with opening batsman Usman Khawaja dropped and allrounder James Faulkner included. Travis Head will return to the top of the order as David Warner’s opening partner, having performed the role in the first game of the series in Brisbane.

Pakistan also made one change. At the toss, captain Azhar Ali said spinner Imad Wasim had a problem with his fingers and had been left out. Wahab Riaz returns to the side and the venue at which he bowled a memorably fearsome spell against Shane Watson in the 2015 World Cup.
