Pune to kickstart India-Australia Test series

The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune will host the first Test between India and Australia, starting February 23 next year. The series will then move to Bangalore and Ranchi before the fourth Test in Dharamsala from March 25 to 29. The Test series will mark the end of India’s busy home season that includes a record 13 Tests.

Bangalore will host the second Test from March 4 to 8, Ranchi from March 16 to 20, and Dharamsala from March 25. Pune, Dharamsala and Ranchi will make their Test debuts after Indore did the same against New Zealand recently.

India will have a gap of 11 days before the match in Pune, as their only Test against Bangladesh is scheduled to end on February 12 in Hyderabad. Australia’s Test team, on the other hand, will have a longer gap while their home T20Is against Sri Lanka will go till February 22.
