The Bombay High Court has ruled that IPL 2016 matches scheduled in Maharashtra after April 30 will be moved out of the state.
The ruling affects 13 matches, including the Eliminator and the 2nd Qualifier – originally scheduled for Pune – and the final, which was to be played in Mumbai on May 29. No IPL 2016 matches will be held in Nagpur.
The court gave its ruling while hearing a Public Interest Litigation related to the hosting of matches in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur following a severe drought in the state of Maharashtra.
