Worcestershire and Kent were unable to start their Specsavers County Championship Division Two fixture for the second day running at a saturated New Road.
Umpires Ian Gould and Richard Illingworth ruled out play at 12.45pm after a cursory inspection.
The water table is so high that heavy overnight rain stayed on the surface despite a dry spell for a couple of hours.
For Kent supporters – and a good number travelled to this game – the match has echoes of 2007 when a Championship fixture between these teams was abandoned at New Road without a ball being bowled over four days.
That’s all folks. Anyone driving back to Kent? https://t.co/exTOls2JhD
