England Women’s Academy continued their impressive form on their tour of Sri Lanka after a rain-affected four-wicket victory over the hosts.
Full international Fran Wilson top-scored with 46 as EWA eased to their target of 134 after electing to field.
Wet weather saw the match reduced to 40 overs and EWA took advantage of conditions with Steph Butler finishing with figures of 3-26.

Kate Cross grabbed a pair of wickets as Sri Lanka A women struggled to maintain partnerships, eventually being dismissed for 133 from 38 overs.
Despite losing Eve Jones and Georgia Adams early, Emma Lamb and Wilson steadied the run chase before Sophia Dunkley’s unbeaten 21 saw England over the line.
The result now means EWA could complete a clean sweep of wins against Australia A tomorrow.
