Lasith Malinga’s knee injury has forced his return home from the World T20, a release from Sri Lanka Cricket said. The bowler, who flew to India earlier this week, has been struggling with a bone bruise on his left knee and the team management advised his return to Colombo after observing that the injury was flaring up. SLC selectors are expected to name a replacement after watching practice matches between the remaining players of the World T20 pool, which will be played in Colombo today.
