Bangladesh kick-started their Asia Cup campaign by condemning United Arab Emirates to a second defeat in as many days in Mirpur.
The Tigers, beaten by India in their first outing on Wednesday, dismissed UAE, who lost to Sri Lanka yesterday, for 82 to claim a 51-run victory.
Only three UAE batsmen made double figures, Muhammad Usman top-scoring with a run-a-ball 30, as Mustafizur Rahman, Mashrafe Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah claimed two wickets apiece.
Man-of-the-match Mahmudullah also impressed with the bat, hitting an unbeaten 27-ball 36 to lift Bangladesh to 133 for eight after losing the toss.
The Tigers had lost three wickets in quick succession on two occasions following a fine start which saw opener Mohammad Mithun club four fours and two sixes in hitting 47 from 41 deliveries.
