Nottinghamshire are on the lookout for a new overseas player for the 2016 campaign after a serious back injury ruled Australia paceman Peter Siddle out for “a significant amount of time.”
The 31-year-old signed a two-year deal to return to Trent Bridge last November, but is now unable to fulfill his commitment this term after suffering stress fractures in his back.
Siddle will now start a lengthy period of rehabilitation on the injury sustained during Australia’s first Test against New Zealand earlier this month.
