Pune Supergiants have added South African allrounder Albie Morkel and Jharkhand’s Saurabh Tiwary in the team for the 2016 edition of the Indian Premier League. (IPL 2016 Auction: Pawan Negi Steals the Show, Shane Watson Gets Top Billing)
Both Morkel and Tiwary, who were part of the Delhi Daredevils franchise in 2015, have been added in the squad which will be led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Morkel had an ordinary time with the Daredevils, playing in just four matches but contributed a wonderful 73 against Chennai Super Kings. (2016 IPL Auction Highlights)

In a statement released by the IPL, chairman Rajeev Shukla said, “Pune Supergiants have added more firepower to their batting line up by acquiring the services of all-rounder Morkel and specialist batsman Tiwary.”
Delhi Daredevils CEO Hemant Dua stated, “Both Saurabh and Albie have served the Daredevils very well and we would like to thank and wish them the very best for the coming season.”
Pune Supergiants CEO Raghu Iyer welcomed the move and said the addition of the two players will boost the team.
The new franchise had a wonderful 2016 IPL Auction, snapping up players like Kevin Pietersen, Ishant Sharma and Mitchell Marsh. The team will be led by Dhoni and it includes players like Ajinkya Rahane, Faf du Plessis and Steven Smith.
