Batsman Sean Terry has left Hampshire in search of more regular first-team opportunities.
The 24-year-old had a year remaining on his contract at the Ageas Bowl, but has left by mutual consent.
Terry, whose father Paul is a former Hampshire coach, made 20 appearances across all formats and passed fifty on seven occasions after coming through the club’s academy.
A club statement said: “Sean performed well during his time at Hampshire but he has decided that he would now like to focus on securing more regular cricket elsewhere.
“We thank him for his efforts and wish him well for the future.”
