David Wiese has become the second addition to South Africa’s one-day international squad to face England in the space of two days.
Right-armer Weise joined Marchant de Lange in training with the Proteas squad today after cricket South Africa turned to them after injury has depleted their bowling stocks.
Wiese, 30, played all of his three ODIs against New Zealand in August last year and returned his best figures of 3-58 in the series-clinching win in Durban.
South Africa will be without quicks Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander during the limited-overs series while Kyle Abbott is struggling with a hamstring injury.
The opening game of the five-match ODI series begins in Bloemfontein on Wednesday.
