Newly married couple Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra celebrated their first Lohri together, post wedding, in United Kingdom on Wednesday, with the cricketers’ in-laws in attendance.
Harbhajan, who is also Punjab’s captain, was visibly happy as he posted pictures with Geeta and family on social media. “Happy Lohri friends Celebrating my 1st Lohri with wife and in laws in UK. God bless you all!,” the India off-spinner tweeted.

The 35-year-old Harbhajan got married to Geeta in October and since then ‘Lady Luck’ seems to be smiling on her. After a good individual performance in the South Africa series Bhajji was picked for India’s Twenty20 squad for the Australia Tour. During the South Africa ODI series, Harbhajan picked up six wickets from four matches.
With the 2016 World Twenty20 staring in India in two months, the spinner has a high chance of making it to the team if he can do well Down Under.
He performed well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament as well, wherein he was the leading wicket-taker for Punjab with nine scalps from five matches with the best being 3/8 against Jammu and Kashmir.
