
The India National Cricket Team missed the golden opportunity early on Day 2 at Lord’s, and Mohammed Siraj was in absolute shock as KL Rahul dropped a straightforward catch in the slips in the ongoing third Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
KL Rahul made the blunder on the third ball of the 87th over when the tourists were looking for an early breakthrough against England at Lord’s. Mohammed Siraj bowled a sharp back-of-a-length delivery outside off-stump to England wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith.

The ball was pitched and nipped away just enough to take a thick edge off Smith’s bat. It flew at shoulder height toward the second slip, where Rahul was stationed. The Indian batter moved to his right and went for it with both hands, but the ball struck his fingertips and popped out.
The dropped catch not only gave Smith a lifeline but also gave frustration to the Indian camp. Siraj was stunned and disappointed by the missed opportunity.
