Texas Super Kings (TSK) spinner Akeal Hosein produced a sensational hat-trick in the final over against Washington Freedom in the Major League Cricket 2026 (MLC 2026) at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland on Sunday, June 28.
With just six runs needed from the last over, Washington Freedom were close to snatching victory. But Hosein turned the match in the Texas Super Kings’ favour.

The left-arm spinner first dismissed Marco Jansen, then removed Amila Aponso on the very next ball, and completed a memorable hat-trick by sending back Asif Mehmood in the last over.
Three wickets in three balls almost crushed Washington Freedom’s hopes in the Major League Cricket 2026 clash against Texas Super Kings. However, Hosein’s magical final went in vain as Nikhil Chaudhary smashed a stunning six off the last ball to finish the match for Washington Freedom.
