“How dare you show me bat”: S Sreesanth recalls heated clash with Gautam Gambhir

Former Indian fast bowler S Sreesanth has opened up about his ugly feud with his former teammate and current head coach Gautam Gambhir after making a bold claim on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

Nearly three years after their heated clash in the Legends League Cricket (LLC), Sreesanth has brought the old controversy back into the spotlight with sensational claims.

S Sreesanth took direct aim at the current India head coach and shared that Gambhir used to be a different person when they first played together, but he changed over time.

Don’t you feel ashamed, Gauti Bhai: S Sreesanth targets Gautam Gambhir

Recently, S Sreesanth revealed that he was shocked by Gautam Gambhir‘s behavior during their infamous confrontation on the field at the Legends League Cricket and claimed that their relationship had changed completely after that ugly fight.

The World Cup winner has asked Gambhir to have some “shame” as he fights with the “children.” However, Sreesanth acknowledged Gambhir’s success as India’s World Cup-winning head coach, but at the same time, he also launched a sharp attack on his attitude by saying he prefers to stand by his words instead of changing his position like his former teammate.

Sreesanth recalled on ABP News, “Don’t you feel ashamed, Gauti Bhai, to fight with kids? I used to call Gauti Bhai Tiger when he used to serve us water in 2006. A lot has changed since then. Everyone likes U-turns. But I mostly take straight roads. I don’t take U-turns. All I can say is, Gauti Bhai, God bless you. You won the World Cup for us as a coach. You did at least something.”

S Sreesanth revives Gautam Gambhir feud with shocking allegations over Legends Cricket League clash

The former Kerala pacer alleged that Gautam Gambhir had behaved badly with one of his own party workers during his time as a member of Parliament. Sreesanth said he was surprised by such behavior and claimed he had simply asked Gambhir if everything was fine before the situation turned ugly.

Recalling the famous Legends League Cricket clash, Sreesanth said he was in excellent physical condition, so he was surprised by Gambhir’s aggressive reaction to show a bat at him.

Sreesanth added, “Well, there are two sides of the coin. The language he used in the retired players’ league. Again, I don’t know why. Gautam Gambhir was a BJP MP in Delhi at that time. He abused his own worker. Doesn’t Gauti Bhai feel ashamed? I just asked him, “Are you okay?” Obviously, I was huge. At that time, I was 95 kgs with 6.5% fat. And I was ripped. Because I was doing movies then. When I played after retirement, I was thinking, How dare you show me a bat?”

The Gautam Gambhir-Sreesanth Incident

The incident happened during the Legends League Cricket Eliminator between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants. Gambhir attacked Sreesanth early in the innings with a six and a four.

After the pacer bowled a dot ball, both players exchanged an intense stare before the argument turned into a heated confrontation in the middle of the pitch.

The situation became so serious that umpires and other players had to separate the two. After the match, Sreesanth accused Gambhir of repeatedly abusing him on the field despite not having provoked him. He alleged that Gambhir repeatedly called him a “fixer” and “traitor” and used the “F-word.”
