Pakistan batter faces strong action from ICC, handed demerit points amid ICC Women's T20 World Cup

The International Cricket Council (ICC) found Pakistan batter Gull Feroza guilty of violating a Level 1 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Group A match against Australia on Tuesday.

As she breached the rules, the council has handed the Pakistan batter one demerit point amid the ongoing T20 World Cup. Regarding the development, the council has issued a detail via their official website.

Pakistan Women’s team cricketer, Gull Feroza, threw her gloves aggressively on the ground

Out of aggression, Gull Feroza was spotted throwing her gloves on the ground near the team dugout after losing her wicket. The act was reported by the match officials, and an action has been taken as per the rules. Feroza has accepted her actions and admitted the offence she made during the match against Australia.

“Feroza was found to have violated Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which covers the abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an international match,” ICC informs in their official statement.
