Pakistan Women have been eliminated from the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup after having suffered losses in the three matches they have played in the tournament.

In a recent video posted on X (formerly Twitter), the team, along with head coach Wahab Riaz, was seen visiting a popular local fast-food joint during their time in England. The revelations from the video have received stern reactions from the internet populace, crediting their team’s poor performances to their leisure activities off the field.

Watch the video here:

Pakistan started their campaign with a 64-run loss against arch-rivals India at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Smriti Mandhana’s 68 and a late cameo from Richa Ghosh took India to a score of 170 for 6 in their 20 overs. In response, Pakistan were bowled out for 106, with Deepti Sharma finishing with figures of 5 for 10. They were beaten by South Africa in their next clash, almost defending a total of 127, but ultimately losing out by two wickets. They were beaten by Bangladesh, who successfully defended a total of 124, eventually prevailing by 23 runs.

Despite their lean run, one of the significant positives from their season has been the form of skipper Fatima Sana. The all-rounder has stood out with both bat and ball, picking up seven wickets in three matches at an economy of 6.18, and scoring a well-made, unbeaten 55 against the Proteas. She also became the first Pakistani women’s cricketer to be signed for the Hundred, after being picked up by the Birmingham Phoenix in the Wildcard Draft as a replacement for Australia’s Lucy Hamilton.

Pakistan’s next clash is against Australia at Headingley, Leeds, on June 23.
