Brendan Taylor ruled out of T20 World Cup 2026 after hamstring injury
Zimbabwe’s senior wicketkeeper-batter Brendan Taylor is out of the remaining matches because of a hamstring injury. The 40-year-old got injured during Zimbabwe’s opening match against Oman. He was batting 31 runs from 30 balls when he felt pain and had to retire hurt.
Before the blow, Taylor had already taken three catches behind the stumps. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza confirmed the setback in Colombo. However, Zimbabwe has not named any replacement yet for Taylor despite having two group games left in the T20 World Cup 2026.
