Third women's T20I abandoned in Trinidad

A soggy outfield at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad meant the third T20I between West Indies women and South Africa women was abandoned without a ball being bowled on Sunday.

South Africa needed to win the match to keep their hopes of a series-victory alive, but a tropical rain storm earlier in the day ensured that there would be no play possible. The result left West Indies sitting on a 2-0 lead in the five-match series, with only two T20Is remaining.

West Indies had won the first match by 17 runs and the second by nine wickets. The fourth T20I will take place on October 3. Apart from the first match that took place in Barbados, all the other four are at the same venue.
