Shakeel leads Abela to breezy win

An all-round performance by Abela Co led them to victory against Alec Warriors. Sohail started off well for the Warriors but once his wicket fell, the remaining batsmen couldn’t deliver against Abela’s bowling attack, which took regular wickets to keep the scoring under control.

The Warriors ensured they rotated the strike in order to put up a decent total to defend. Umair and Anand were the standout bowlers, taking two wickets each.

Chasing 54, Abela had a flying start, hitting a six off the first ball of the innings. A quick cameo by Shakeel, who scored 33 off just 10 balls, was enough to bring the game under Abela’s control. Hidayat and Galib gave away too many runs, which cost the Warriors dearly. Abela only took four overs to chase down the runs, for the loss of just two wickets. Shakeel’s cameo was the man-of-the-match innings, leading his side home comfortably.
