DBMSC-B winners of Silver Cup

What an excellent match it turned out to be, two great teams with great talent, but one needs to come out victorious, and that turned out to be DBMSC.

Batting first, DBMSC concentrated in rotating the strike, they didn’t take any risk of getting run-outs. By the end of 6th over, the runs on the board were 32, and had just given away one catch at long-on.

The strategy was simple, avoid the panic button and score singles and doubles when necessary, it seemed to have worked wonderfully, the control in the batting resulted in them ending the innings at 74 runs.

Falcons started off cautiously, the openers following the latter’s batting style, took just singles, since a wicket was lost in the second over. The next pair built up the momentum to reach 28 at the end of sixth over. So far the game was in anyone’s reach.

Karan and Deepak picked up the momentum considerably, running excellent between the wickets to bring the score from 28 to 51, setting up 24 runs in the last 3 overs.

But the wickets which fell in overs 11 and 12, turned the fortune around in DBMSC’s favor, the five wickets which fell brought the score down to 38 for Falcons.
