Pakistan face stiff task after SL 482; Yasir takes six

Innings Sri Lanka 482 (Karunaratne 196, Chandimal 62, Dilruwan 58, Yasir 6-184) v Pakistan
Live scorecard and ball-by-ball details

Sri Lanka’s tail clung on for 12.2 overs after dinner, but Pakistan allowed them only 21 further runs, before claiming the three final wickets, to bring Sri Lanka’s innings to a close at 482. As has been the case through this Test, Yasir Shah was Pakistan’s primary weapon. When he had No. 10 Lahiru Gamage stumped, he became the first spinner in Test history to register five-wicket hauls in five consecutive Tests. He would have Nuwan Pradeep caught at gully as well, to finish with 6 for 184 from 55.5 overs in total.

For Sri Lanka, Rangana Herath produced his usual lower-order fun, employing several reverse sweeps to moderate effect, and dusting off his trademark swivel-pull to the quick bowlers. He finished on 27 not out, off 72 balls. Nos. 8, 9 and 10 did not make it out of single figures.
